Beijing sold more than ¥34 billion in land in January, with an average price up 20.6% over January 2014 and average residential land price up 25.1%.
Developers are concentrating on the best parcels. The sales were 26.8% below January 2014; total area sold was down 40%.
If Beijing is one of the strongest markets for land sales, the real estate sector is far from out of the woods in terms of the impact on investment and local government finances.
