Mainlanders have been attacked for their use of streets as a public toilet and this incident was filmed by someone upset at it, which then led the parents to attack the photographer.

Somewhat off topic but I think that as things like this continue to happen (mainland-HK fights), mainland tourists will start to skip HK in favor of Macau. As I see it, Macau through Sands is positioning itself to become the shopping capital of China as well as obviously being the gambling capital of China. The new Shoppes malls they've opened are enormous and loaded with not only all the brands of HK, but even ones I don't see around Hong Kong.
ReplyDeleteLived in HK for over a year now and you if want to avoid mainland tourists it is extremely easy to do so - avoid TST, Mong Kok and the Macau Ferry Terminal. If you avoid those two places you can generally go for weeks without bumping into any tourists.
